Minnesota!

Jerry and I went out to Minnesota for a Cotten Family Reunion. We left on Friday August 1st, spent the late-morning to early afternoon at the Mall of America. It was quite fun. We had lunch and then explored the Mall. Around 2pm we started our trek to the Cross Lake region where the first part of the reunion was to be held. We checked into our hotel around 5, the traffic heading North was horrific! After getting ready it was off to Cross Lake for a nice Italian dinner with the Cotten family. It was really great to see everyone, we haven't seen them since our wedding two years ago, we even met some relatives that we haven't met before.

The next day we went and found a great little place for breakfast in Crosby. After breakfast we started the drive to Daggett Lake where the lake house was. The view there was gorgeous. We had a wonderful BBQ there and it was just great to be able to sit back, relax and enjoy the pure serenity. Unfortunately, we had to be back on the road to Minneapolis around 9pm, so we went and got some pizza with the family and then it was off on the road again. This time the 2 hour drive was just that and we were in another hotel by midnight. We were up very early again the next morning for our flight back home.

It was a wonderful trip and although we are happy to be home, it would be great to be on that lake again!
