A Day on the Greenway!

Yesterday Jerry and I met up with Matt and we took the T to the Greenway (http://www.rosekennedygreenway.org/). One of Jerry's clients had a booth at the Inauguration so that's why we initially decided to head into the city. We arrive at South Station around 2:30. We skipped the Chinatown part of the Greenway and started right in the Dewey Park section. Jerry's client's booth was right outside of the South Station exit. We visited with her, tasted some of her cheeses (http://www.shybrothersfarm.com/index.htm) and went on our way. We tasted a few other things and continued our journey along the Greenway. We bumped into this fantastic water fountain:

After watching the fountain for a bit we trekked up to the Faneuil Hall area. We stopped into an Irish Pub right outside of Faneuil Hall. We walked around the area some more before we started our trek to the North End via the Greenway. It was extremely bizarre to walk by all the things we used to drive by at 70MPH. We ended up in the North End and walked along the water for a bit before heading to dinner at La Famiglia Giorgio (http://www.lafamigliagiorgio.com/). We had a TON of food! So much we had to bring a lot of it home! By this time we were starting to get worn, but we decided to walk back down the Greenway instead of taking the T. We walked down the lighted pathways, by the holocaust memorial and back into South Station. All in all it was a great day and the Greenway is an awesome idea!
