We jumped on and we were on our way into the city!
We took the T to Park Street and headed toward the Common.
Our main goal was to head to the Public Garden to see the "Make Way for Ducklings" statue. I have never seen the statue before and we figured Cassie would love to see it. Cassie was a trooper doing all of this walking because we decided not to bring a stroller. We arrived at the statue and it was, of course, filled with kiddos! Cassie got a turn to sit on a few of the ducks, she loved it:
We had a Duck Tour scheduled for 12:30, so, we walked over to the Pru around 11 for lunch at PF Changs. Cassie wasn't a fan of the food, but, Jerry and I thought it was great! Once we were finished we walked around the Pru a bit while we waited for our boarding time. Once it was time, we went outside of the Pru and hopped onto our Duck Boat; Penelope Pru! We had an awesome ConDUCKtor Maj. Tom Foolery, who shared lots of great history as well as great information on every aspect of the city. I had never been to the Charles River before, so it was a great experience to get to be ON the Charles River.
Cassie was loving every minute of it up until the motion of the boat lulled her to sleep. She slept for the last 10 minutes for the tour as well as most of the T ride home.
All in all, it was a wonderful day!
