YEEHAW! Texas, here we come!

Jerry and I had the opportunity to go out to Texas for a few days last week for his company's anniversary celebration.  We flew into Austin on Wednesday night and checked into the Hyatt Regency Austin.

On Thursday we walked around downtown a bit and spent some time at Houndstooth Coffee.

We also walked under the bridge that houses hundreds of thousands of bats.  It stunk badly!  They are pretty proud of these bats!

For lunch we went to Whataburger!  It was delish!

Later that afternoon we went down to the home office to get on the coach bus that would be taking us to the anniversary celebration!  We went to The Oasis on Lake Travis, it was beautiful!  The lake was at about 50% because of the serious drought they've been in. Although, it gained a few inches a few days before we got there due to some storms.

We had a great time at the party and they invited everyone out to a local watering hole after.  We were tired so we only stayed a little while.  Friday morning we had to check out of the hotel so we decided to do some sight seeing.  We rented a car and went to Jo's Coffee

After our breakfast we decided to check out the Capitol building.

After a while, we were getting hungry so, we went to get some down home cooking at Hoover's.  I had the Chicken Fried Chicken and Jerry and I shared the Buttermilk Pie for dessert.

All in all we had a great time in TX and would love to be able to go back for a bit longer next time!
